On March 25, an FC100 hydrogen-powered drone took off at the East China agricultural products joint distribution center of Jinhua Postal Branch in Zhejiang province, its strong power drawing exclamations from the guests on site. On the same day, Jinhua Postal Branch signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Hydrogen Craft Corporation, the drone manufacturer. The two parties will jointly conduct technical feasibility research, operational cost estimation and application scheme design.

Compared with lithium-powered drones, hydrogen-powered drones boast a 6-fold increase in flight range, and can easily ensure logistics distribution within a 20-kilometer radius. Their operating temperature range extends from -20℃ to 50℃, meeting the requirements for operations in the whole area. With only water emitted during the flight, their zero-carbon attribute aligns perfectly with China Post’s green development philosophy.

In recent years, Jinhua Postal Branch has pioneered the application of unmanned distribution technology and the development of new quality productive forces. To date, it has deployed six drones, and established one command center for unmanned distribution and seven intelligent take-off and landing sites. It has operated over 1,000 flights of drones cumulatively, transporting over 16,000 kilograms of items.
